Product Description:
- Ofloxacin is a first generation fluoroquinolones. It has in vitro activity against a wide range of gram-negative and gram-positive microorganisms. Ofloxacin is often bactericidal at concentrations equal to or slightly greater than inhibitory concentrations. Ofloxacin and involves inhibition of bacterial topoisomerase IV and DNA gyrase (both of which are type II topoisomerases), enzymes required for DNA replication, transcription, repair and recombination.
- Ornidazole, is a synthetic nitroimidazole that is used to treat infections caused by anaerobic bacteria and protozoa. It is a tissue amoebicide. Ornidazole works by destructing the DNA helical structure, which interrupts the protein synthesis and ultimately leads to the death of bacteria.
